If you want to learn about the sweet Perception warranty that comes with your boat, you're in the right place. And if you have questions about making a warranty claim, look no further. All the information you need is right here.

Returns

To effectively process a warranty claim, you need to do the following:

  1. Return the kayak to the original dealer for inspection, and to start the process.
  2. Have receipt and serial number ready.
  3. If you are returning a kayak, you will also need a written explanation of the cause or surrounding events related to the failure as well as photographs of the damaged area.

Generally, the item will be exchanged or repaired once the item has been returned to Perception. If the dealer is willing to make the exchange from their inventory, they may do so as long as the Warranty Team at Perception has already approved of it.

Please Note: Kayaks shipped back to Perception without a Return Authorization number from the Perception Warranty Team will not be accepted and returned to the originating address at the shipper’s expense.

Exclusions

Perception boats are warranted to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty does not cover normal wear or damage resulting from abuse, alteration or unauthorized repair. Warranty does not cover boats damaged during transport. Determination of whether a warranty claim is subject to these exclusions rests solely within the discretion of Perception.
